Beliefs

Who is God?

We believe there is one living and true God, everlasting, of infinite power, wisdom and goodness; Maker and Preserver of all things, both visible and invisible. We believe God exists in the Holy Trinity: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in holiness, justice, wisdom, power, and dignity.

Who is Jesus?

We believe that Jesus is God the Son, the Word of the Father. He took man's nature, born of a virgin, and is both 100% man and 100% God. He suffered, was crucified, died, and buried to reconcile us with the Father and atone for our sins. We believe Jesus rose again from dead, and ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father interceding for us. We believe Jesus will return to earth again in all His glory to judge all men at the last day.

Who is the Holy Spirit?

We believe the Holy Spirit is one and equal with the Father and the Son. He is our Helper, sent by the Father in the name of Jesus. He is our Helper, helping us in our weakness, teaching us all things, and helping us remember the words of Jesus. We believe in the Pentecostal baptism of the Holy Spirit, with the initial evidence of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.

What is the Bible?

We believe the Bible is the Holy Scriptures, the Word of God. We believe in the verbal and plenary inspiration of the Bible, composed of sixty-six books and divided into the Old and New Testaments. It is the full and complete revelation of the plan and history of redemption.

How do we get to heaven?

We believe that Jesus is the only way to heaven. We are justified or saved by faith in Jesus alone. This is by the grace of God, a gift freely given, and not earned by our works or deeds.

"If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).

After I'm saved, what then?

We believe in sanctification. It starts when you accept Jesus as Lord, an instant work of grace. It is also your lifelong growth in grace and knowledge of Jesus. We believe it is the responsibility of every believer to dedicate his or her life to carrying out the work of the Great Commission, to go into all the world, preach the Gospel, and make disciples.
